The under 18 girls National Cup Tournament with The Oblate Hall being one of four host venues.

The Oblate girls first game was at 10.00am against Fr Matthews from Cork.
After poor performances in the Laura Brennan Tournament a couple of weeks earlier the girls needed to dig deep and produce performances that everyone knew they were capable of. That was what they did, they played with a determination and confidence that had not being seen for a long time. The effort all the girls gave in the games, every ball was contested it was as complete a performance as the girls had ever produced. Next up was St Marys from Castleisland who ended up runners up of the tournament, this game was very close up till half time with the Dynamos defence standing up to whatever St Marys had to offer and Oblate Girls offence started to pay dividends. On Sunday the Oblate Girls played Donegal and St Pauls and the determination never diminished leading fine performances in both games.
The girls have qualified to the Quarter Finals where they will meet Tralee Imperials in the Oblate Hall on the 8/9th Dec.
The Oblate girls had best wishes of all the Club and indeed so many club members turned up to support and help out with the running of the event, it was a great club feeling.
