Oblate Basketball Club Dog Nite

Thursday, April 28th, 2011

On Tuesday the 26th April, we held our annual dogs night in Harold’s Cross. It proved to be a successful and enjoyable evening as always. Although more enjoyable for some than others. We had some big winners and some not so big winners ( Lynn won 40cent and was delighted and i still don’t know how those odds work!!).  Everyone there really enjoyed themselves from 7 to 70yrs old. The U12 girls were spotted and heard track-side screaming at their dogs to win which they did. (Ellie, Lauren and Carla), while our U12 boys were trying to race the dogs in the final straight ( Ben Gannon came very close ).
Men’s Div 2 coach, Andy, was scouting for new players as usual. We also had Linda and Teresa there, comparing bumps, Linda to return next season while Teresa is heading back home to Tennessee. We would like to wish Teresa and Ahmad the very best for the future and thank them for all they have done for Irish Basketball and Dynamos!!
Our buster ticket winner on the night was Niamh White  (U13) who won €100. Congrats Niamh!
Finally, a big thank you goes to Michelle, Catherine, Gillian and Terry who organised the whole night. Also thanks to the sponsors and to all who sold tickets, every bit helps.
